1 1978 Zhu, Hong. Huang dan pai xi ju shu ping [ID D30773].
In contrast to the traditional bourgeoisie literature that tends to place man at the centre of the universe, Beckett's play Waiting for Godot lays emphasis on man's vulnerability in an absurd world. The two-act play well illustrates the general philosophical attributes of absurdist plays : an agnostic world, an unpredictable destiny, man's abject conditions, meaningless behavious, and the wish for death.

2 1979 Wai guo ming zuo jia zhuan. Zhang Yinglun zhu bian [ID D14449].
Zhu Hong praised Charlotte Brontë for creating a new type of heroine who is a low born orphan but capable of the most sincere, delicate, and passionate emotions utterly distinct from the affected bourgeois ladies in popular novel ; yet at the same time, she also criticized Jane's
Victory, all the faborable outcomes for her, and the coincidences in the latter half of the novel as utter clichés of vulgar bourgesois novels.
3 1986 [Austen, Jane]. Ao man yu pian jian [ID D26674].
Zhu Hong pointed out in the preface that, in spite of the trivial family events depicted, "the small world in the novel reflects big problems. The tiny occurrences of three or four families in the countryside reveal the class situation and economic relations of English society". In Zhu's eyes, love and marriage in the novel indicate the prevailing inclination to be possessive in a capitalist society in which economic relations plays a decisive role and marriage relations amount to nothing more than a kind of financial deal.
