Text

Shi, Kangqiang. Sate de cun zai zhu yi shi yi [ID D24277].
Er schreibt : “The 'freedom' mentioned by Jean-Paul Sartre was not in political, ethical or social sense. He did not mean that man can do whatever he wants. The actual meaning of freedom is that in every situation, man should make his decision according to his own judgment and no principle should be adopted to guide his judgment. What Sartre meant by 'free choice' is that life has no transcendental meaning, and it requires a meaning endowed by human being's action through free choice. There are no such men as born heroes or cowards. They are the results of their own choice.”
