1 1953-1956 Conversations between Ezra Pound and Fang Baoxian about the mysterious Naxi rites that fuse Confucian ancestral worship with Taoism and Buddhism. Their conversations, along with Joseph Rock's descriptions of the Naxi rites, inspired Pound's haunting poetry about the'wind sway' ceremony that focuses on possibilities of life after death.
