Piero Corradini : Ferrari's work is interesting for the reason that, for the first time, he attempted a comparative approach to China and beacause he did not accept any eurocentric view of history. In this view China occupies the same place as the other nations : the civilizations of the world are put on the same level. If Beijing is far from Paris - he wrote - also Paris is far from Beijing.
