Drei Studenten der Jilin-Universität schreiben : Shakespeare tells us that the emancipation of individuality is of great importance to the progress of a modern society. Any restriction of the rational demands and rights of man will hamper the initiative and crativity of people. Shakespeare also tells us that the progress of social development is never smooth, as we see in his tragedies. This should be especially understood by Chinese people, who have just experienced the disaster of the Cultural revolution.
